Gonzalo García Córdoba,

I had the privilege of working closely with Roz for over two years, and I can confidently say that she is an exceptional leader in every sense. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with various managers, and Roz stands out for her leadership skills.

Roz has a unique ability to empower her team to make decisions and take ownership of their work. She promotes an environment where everyone is heard, encouraging open communication. This approach not only boosts team morale but also leads to more innovative solutions and a stronger sense of accountability.

Roz not only empowered us but also always recognized our work internally as well as to the rest of the organization. She provided visibility to leadership but let us take the credit for the work, always taking time to celebrate our achievements.

Roz is not just a manager; she is a mentor who invests in the growth of her team members. Her leadership style has been a driving force behind our team's success, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked under her guidance. Roz dedicated time to work on my career path, she is always willing to help her team members grow and invest a lot of her time to work on it. My professional career was boosted thanks to Roz's mentorship.

I strongly recommend Roz to any organization seeking a leader who has a strong product knowledge domain but also creates a collaborative and empowering work culture. I would definitely work together with Roz again.

Dan Bratton, Sr. Product Manager @ Mural

It was a privilege to work under Roz at Mural. Her leadership style uniquely blends autonomy with collaboration. As a Product Manager, her trust in me to explore and execute my ideas significantly boosted my professional growth and confidence.

Roz's exceptional ability to connect people across different teams not only amplified the impact of my work but also enriched my professional development, exposing me to new product areas at Mural. For example, thanks to her fostering cross-collaboration, my team contributed to Mural's developer platform while executing our integrations roadmap.

Beyond her role as a connector, Roz was a true champion for our team and others. She consistently sought ways to recognize and celebrate accomplishments, fostering an environment where everyone felt valued, motivated, and aware of the impact of their work. Her efforts led to a positive atmosphere pivotal in driving us to achieve outstanding results, including being awarded Partner of the Year by Microsoft.

Jamie Neely, Sr. Director of Product Design at Mural

I worked closely with Roz during a time of hypergrowth at Mural, where we shared the same leadership triad for the Integrations group. For me, Roz was a joy to work with… a fantastic leader… a trusted and valuable partner. I was always impressed with her knowledge of complex product ecosystems, her people-first style of management, and her clarity of communication. However, the thing that I most appreciated about Roz is how she worked with me and the team: From day one, it was clear that she was a real pro in the practice of visual collaboration (often working in a Mural!). She gave deep consideration to identifying the most strategic problems, and then working through them together, as one team. Roz’s curiosity, ability to listen, and knowledge of product and design thinking methods are a cut above the rest. You should get to know her!

Q & A
Q & A

Why did you choose your profession?

Depends how you define my profession!

My last couple of roles have been focused on developer platform / partner ecosystems. I got into that area because it’s a leveraged product investment like few others. Build a feature once and you have a feature. Build an API and you can end up with that feature and 10 others your customers love!

More broadly, I have always been excited about the possibilities that each new wave of technology opens up. When I started my career, it was helping organizations leverage email and websites as a means to radically increase their audience. Later, it was unlocking the power of social media, and social data, to help them better understand their supporters and engage influencers. My focus has shifted along the way, but the prompt behind it has always been the same: What can we do today that we couldn’t do (or haven’t done) in the past, to impact society in a positive way?

Who is the one person who has done the most to shape you into who you are today? How was the person significant to you?

My mother influenced me a lot. She has a “can do” attitude, almost like it never occurs to her that something might be too hard or too big to tackle! When it comes to execution, she’s tireless and creative. She also introduced me early on to the idea of being responsible for our individual impact on the world, including the environment.

What has been the greatest accomplishment of your life so far? Is there anything you wish to do even better?

Professionally, my greatest accomplishment has been starting, growing, and selling a software company. I learned so much about B2B sales strategy, software and product development, raising capital, M&A. Spending years “always pitching” the product and the company, being ready to answer any question, shaped how I think about every subsequent opportunity. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about the craft of product management and scaling development. If I have the opportunity to lead an early-stage company (or product team) again, I will invest more time up-front in discovery and refining the product-market-fit before prioritizing revenue.

How would your peers and team members describe your responsiveness as a leader?

Members of my team typically describe me as “empowering”. I encourage open and direct communication. I make sure everyone is heard, their contributions are recognized, they are constantly challenged to grow, and they receive feedback in a way that helps them improve. Peers often say my superpower is creating order from chaos. I can take a situation involving technical and/or organizational complexity, identify the most strategic problems, and bring people together across departments to collaborate as “one team” to get big things done.
